WE STILL NEED all members to become active members and attend meetings and help with all the events being planned. With out everyone working together. All the projects that need to be done will not get done!!!! So please come forward and volunteer to help!!!
We have started to get plans made for the new year and one of the event will be our "CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS" this year again the chairperson will be Brenda Dunlap. She stated they are starting to get donations already for next year and that the need for the toys are on the increase with more families needing help. So mark your calendar for Labor Day weekend for "Christmas For KIDS" as they are looking on doing a collection day on the Saturday of Labor day weekend. If you would like to help with this project contact Brenda and let her know you will help.
It looks like the trip to visit our Gold Supporter will have to be done by cars or vans and we are asking for a driver of a vehicle to not drink on the trip so everyone can stay safe. The plans right now are to do this after Feburary's meeting so if you can be a driver then came and volunteer. We will be moving March's meeting to the 3rd of March due to hold the scavenger hunt; All information will be finalized at Feburary's meeting. The Scavenger Hunt will be open to the public and there will be possibly 2 starting points and 1 end site at one of our Gold supporter. There is a $5.00 fee per person; 50/50, and a winner will receive a token prize.
We are excited about the new help and what we have seen so far of the new Web Site. Thank you John for taking on the job of Web Master.
So if there is something you are good at and would like to help all you need to do is come to a meeting and let the officers know what you are good at and what you would like to help out with.
For updates on alerts you can see them on Facebook on Endless Mountains applications. There are 2 of them and you can hit the like button to have them post on you page. The state also has a facebook page also you can be added to to receive the information on their pages.
ABATE's goal and purpose is to keep motorcyclists, members, and the public informed, to promote safe riding habits, and to encourage favorable legislation for motorcyclists. This is accomplished through a monthly newsletter, e-mail alerts, safety & education programs, working with the state and federal legislators, and voter registration promotion.
Since 1983, A.B.A.T.E. has represented the interests of motorcyclists riding Pennsylvania's roads. Through a variety of programs, A.B.A.T.E. is working to protect and preserve the rights of over 800,000 licensed motorcyclists.
